Grey's Anatomy is a drama centered on a group of surgical interns, residents, and the various physicians who serve as their mentors in their professional and personal lives. The main plot of the Grey's Anatomy Seasons 1-7 DVD: Grey's Anatomy's first season went a little far trying to find its groove, overdosing on Meredith's overly simplistic voice-overs ("At the end of the day… faith is a funny thing"), and musical montages. The season 5 gets off to a slow start, with perhaps a bit more relationship angst than even diehard fans would prefer. Season 6 gets the story lines back on track and keeps the action moving, and engaging, in every single episode.   It almost would have been cool to kill off Derek in the episode rather then tease it fairly convincingly, but I'm pretty sure I don’t actually want that.

  Many of the episodes season 7 spend time following Derek Shepherd’s medical trial for Alzheimer’s. One of the funniest episodes this season features Alex Karev dealing with an unruly, older woman who is on her death bed.
